HERE WE GO . Jacob Titus Basil Ludwick. . Born four years after the monsters took over (which was 26 years ago), making him 22 yo. . Place of birth is what is now known as No Man's Land - what we call US of A in The Real World. . Parents were Basil and Meryl Ludwick - yes they did give their names to their children. What of it. . Twin sister called Paige Gertrude Meryl Ludwick. They only share first names with strangers, the rest is blackmail material. . Travels with his sister all around the country, even though they aren't constantly together. They hunt down monster hybrids, be it for hire or just so they don't get killed first. . Free souls, no interest in selling theirs to become sulfur slaves, so they'll happily leave the big bad full monsters to more capable (or dumber) agents. . Allergic to SPRING. Doesn't get to the point of asthma, but everything else - itchy eyes, sneezing, coughing, runny nose - is included in one nice package of awful. Fucking pollen. . Scar on his left eyebrow. Doesn't make him look badass. . Large blue eyes, just like his sister, pointy nose, square jaw, slightly freckled (more visible in sunnier seasons), Caucasian (and pretty damn pale most of the time), puckered lips (usually grimacing or grinning, rarely caught in between outside moments of distraction). . Chestnut brown, straight hair, spiky until he grows it out enough to tame the damn thing. Not very well kept because Jacob insists on chopping it off himself. . Doesn't usually have facial hair, but it makes a damn huge difference when he doesn't shave. People will say he looks older than Paige but that she acts older than him - not so much when he gets rid of the excess hair. Exhibits A and B: . Casual clothes, jacket over shirt and jeans with work boots. . A few scars here and there from confrontations and mishaps, nothing too dramatic. Jacob keeps his distance in a fight. The twins are also sneaky bitches. . Dislocated his shoulder at least once with the kick of his weapon of choice - custom made carbine with a scope. SOMETHING LIKE THIS LET ME SHOW YOU HOW LITTLE I KNOW ABOUT WEAPONS. Also got a few nasty lesions on his torso. There is a significant difference in the height of his right and left shoulder! You can get he's right-handed and the pain is a bitch when temperatures change (humidity: his best shoulder-stabbing friend). . Slightly adenoidal voice, modulated, obnoxious and loud sometimes. Sounds and acts about his age most of the time. . Physically and verbally abuses objects that won't work and/or were in the damn way (aka things he runs into). . Zero self-awareness when he's chewing or slurping. LOUD AS HELL. Needless to say he isn't the most refined kid out there, but there's a lot worse going around. . Prefers numbers to be even or multiples of five. SÃO MARIQUICES MINHAS DEIXA-ME . Born in a refugee camp, he and Paige learned early on how to survive, how to defend themselves and work in and for a community. Rivalry quickly grew between them too. Any protectiveness they feel for each other comes hand-in-hand with a punch to the shoulder (NO PAIGE NOT THE FUCKED UP SHOULDER AUGH). . Their parents eventually decide they'll be better off in a place with more structure - so they teach their kids to pretend to be very devoted to the prophet Sebastien in order to move into one of his cult... town... things. Nothing too weird happens, it's practically the same routine, just with some time set aside to repeat prayers. The twins aren't very impressed by this. . The twins then set off on their own - though I haven't decided what exactly prompts them to leave their parents behind, assuming they were still alive at the time (and are today) - could have been something they set off to do when the skies turned red and Calathea disappeared. . And so begins a prominent career shooting hybrids for hire (and claiming it's in the prophet's name when convenient). Their skills and effectiveness is appreciated by sulfur slaves up until they claim they're free souls with no intentions of joining the Devil's side. . Any signs of professionalism are thrown out the window when the twins interact because Jacob is kind of an idiot who can actually charm a lady or two and Paige has exquisite Withering Look of Judgment skills.
